We are interested in adapting our quantitative PCR-based test—originally developed for the kauri dieback pathogen Phytophthora agathidicida—for horticultural crops like avocados, tamarillos, raspberries, and more.
With a few tweaks, this molecular test can precisely measure pathogen levels in roots, soil, or leaves, helping identify disease hotspots, track changes over time or across seasons, and evaluate whether treatments are working as intended.
We are actively seeking partnerships with growers to develop and refine the test for your specific needs—making it fit-for-purpose for your operations. If you are interested in testing your plants or soil, or in collaborating, please get in touch!
